Show your calendars and events to the world

We've redesigned our public calendars once again. They are super lightweight, beautiful and starting today you'll also be able to integrate them on your own website. To show you an example, we've put together the 2014-15 NBA schedule for the New York Knicks (yea - Armin is a big fan).

Our public calendars have already come a quite a long way since their initial release, but starting today they're really awesome.

Here's what's new:

  • Embeddable on your own website.
  • Redesigned to catch up with our calendar webapp.
  • Beautiful fullscreen view.

Embedding on your own website

Embedding a public calendar on your website is as easy as adding an iFrame to your HTML. If you'd wanted to embed the New York Knicks 2014-15 schedule, you'd just have to add the following code to your website:

<iframe src="https://fruux.com/calendars/public/a3298263298/D1124D89-06FE-41C8-A161-82DC08E48844/" style="border: 0" width="800" height="600" frameborder="0" scrolling="no"></iframe>

This will result in a nicely embedded calendar on your website, like the one below (If you don't want to show the schedule for the New York Knicks on your website, you'll of course have to change the src tag to your own public calendar address). :) And here's the kicker: Every change you make in your calendar (e.g. on your computer, your phone or in the fruux calendar webapp), will immediately update the calendar on your website!

We hope you'll like our improved public calendar feature and find lots of creative ways to use it (e.g. publish the training schedule for your sports club, events to your customers, keep your students updated on your lectures or let your fans know when and where your band has its next gig). We'd love to hear how you are using the public calendar. :)
